Health Stim Tracking

Cal Kestis is coming into this game with BD-1. BD-1 has exactly five healing stims on him.

Since they're of great value, Cal will be using them sparingly until he can find a way to reproduce them.

Healing Stim 1. Given to the scientists on the train in the hopes that they can recreate more.

Healing Stim 2

Healing Stim 3

Healing Stim 4

Healing Stim 5

IF CAL USES ONE ON YOUR CHARACTER PLEASE LET ME KNOW HERE SO I CAN MARK IT OFF AND KEEP TRACK!

Arrival:

The last thing Cal remembered was destroying the Holocron. All those names, all those children listed as Force Sensitive, gone. Lost to history and their fates now at the will of the Force. Once it was in pieces, scattered on the floor of the Stinger Mantis, Cal turned to ask his crew where to next but they weren't there. It was fog. So much fog that, for a moment, Cal thought he was remembering another one of Master Jaro's lessons. Something he'd need to remember on his journey to wherever the Force was taking him.

But this fog was different. It wasn't the fog of a memory resurfacing. This was tangible. And there were so many sounds and voices around him that didn't have that muted dullness to them that memories usually did.

Not to mention, he didn't remember owning any of the clothes he was wearing. And the weight of the rucksack was strange to him, too. He never owned one like it. Not even while on Bracca.

The more he focused on his surroundings, trying to figure out what was going on, his ribs twinge and ache and one hand goes over a spot on his lower left rib with a soft groan.

Right. He was hurt. Vader had stabbed him with his own lightsaber just hours before coming here.

He shifts his rucksack and, to his surprise, his rucksack shifts back. And moves more. And there's a familiar beeping and trilling and whistling inside.

"BD-1?" Cal asks, uncertain and excited and alarmed. "BD!" Heading to a nearby bench, Cal carefully sets the rucksack down and opens it up, looking at the contents in confusion for a second before reaching in and digging through unfamiliar items until BD pops up with a loud whistle of shock, a pair of socks dangling over his eye. Shaking that off, BD looks up at Cal and his beeps and trills and noises are both surprised and excited and confused.

"BD! How'd you get in there?"

BD responds, more droid sounds as the droid is helped out of the bag, climbing up Cal's arm and settling on his usual spot on his back. The droid seems almost annoyed, first looking at Cal and then looking at the people around them.

"I dunno. I don't recognize this place at all. You really don't know how you got in the rucksack?"

More responses from BD and then he's off Cal's back, running a few feet away to scan part of the platform.

"No. Hey! BD, stay close." BD looks at Cal, tilting his head slightly before heading back, hopping up onto the bench next to the rucksack and watching people walk by, still talking to Cal.

"This place feels...weird. I can't really explain it. Something tells me we should get on the train."

BD responds, questioningly.

"It doesn't feel like the Force, so I don't know what it is. But it's telling me not getting on the train would be a bad idea." A pause from Cal as he looks over at the train and the people standing outside of it. All of them wore color-coded attire, he could see that from here. And a lot of them wore the same colors he did.

"C'mon, BD. Maybe someone over there will have answers."

BD jumps onto Cal's outstretched arm and Cal groans some, a wince of pain as BD climbs up his ribs to get to his back and BD whistles low, apologetic.

"No, it's fine. Remind me to grab a healing stim in a bit, yeah?"

With that, the pair are headed to the train, occasionally getting bumped into by other passengers and wincing each time.

This is going to suck, isn't it?

On the Train:

BD is running ahead of Cal, stopping to scan everything. Everything in the train is going into his memory banks and Cal is reading his ticket and checking doors to find their cabin. Cabin 1:D, wherever that was. He's careful to not bump into anyone as he goes, nodding hello to the occasional person, noting some looked as confused as he did, while others looked fairly settled in.

Finding his cabin, he hesitates for a moment, looking down at the eager little droid at his feet.

"This is us, I guess," he says before scanning the door and peeking in to see where he'll be staying.

It doesn't look that bad, honestly. Almost like the Stinger Mantis and something about that familiarity helped him feel a little more at ease. Dropping his bag on one of the empty bunks, Cal settles next to it with a soft sigh.

"Do you think the others are okay, BD?" The droid doesn't respond with sound, but the way he moves is certainly a shrug. "Me, either. I hope they are." BD hops up next to Cal and leans on him, trying to be comforting. It's a small gesture, but it works, and Cal really can't help but smile just a little bit.

"Thanks, BD."

Exploring:

At this point, you can find Cal anywhere. In the kitchen, investigating what's in there. In the garden, seeing if it was a good place to meditate, or even in the game carriage to see if there was anything familiar. Some game from home he'd recognize.

Find him anywhere. BD will be with him, scanning the train and making a map.

Chronology:

What’s your name? Cal Kestis
What species are you? Human Jedi
What’s your birthday/ years you’ve been alive? 20 years
How many years is the average lifespan of your particular species? 80 to 100 years
Year you’re from: 14 BBY
How many months in your world’s calendar?
How many days in the months?
How many hours? Minutes? Seconds? I'm just gonna...answer all these questions in one go.
60 seconds = 1 minute. 60 minutes = 1 hour. 24 hours = 1 day. 5 days = 1 week. 7 weeks = 35 days = 1 month. 10 months + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays = 368 days = 1 year.
What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? My friends and I were trying to decide where to go next. We'd just found a Jedi Holocron containing a list of all Force Sensitive children in my universe, and then to keep them safe, we destroyed it. Since finding it was our goal in the first place, and it was now of no use to anyone (I promise, this is a good thing), we were kind of at a loss as to what to do next.
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? My friends and I made a decision that kept thousands of children safe from the Empire.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive? Probably? I want to say probably. I was up and moving within a few hours of almost drowning and being stabbed in the ribs by a lightsaber, which could have gone a lot worse if my friend hadn't stepped in.

Technology:

What is the most advanced technological device in your world? Lightsaber
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? We have trains on a lot of the planets, it usually depends on how populated the planet is. On Bracca, trains were the only way to get around safely, unless you didn't mind climbing through wrecked star-ships.
Do you have trains, but not ones that go through the Void? Yes.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? The Stinger Mantis, my friend Greez's ship.

Magic:

Does your world use magic? Do you use magic? Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? Depends on who you ask. The Nightsisters used magic. Jedi's use The Force. While Force Users can be a matter of lineage on occasion? It's not a matter of race. The Force is everywhere. It's part of everything. It's just a matter of some people being far more sensitive to it than others.

I know nothing about how the Nightsisters come to be, especially since they're near extinct. Merrin is the only one I know, so if she shows up, you can ask her more about that.

Inventory:

What items were in your rucksack upon waking? Specifically, did anything come with you from your home world? If so, what was it? BD-1 was in the bottom of it. He wasn't too happy about having piles of clothes and random items stacked on top of him. He came with five Healing Stims.

I was wondering if there was anyone on board who'd be able to figure out their composition and recreate them? It could be beneficial for everyone on board if we had more than the ones I came with.

Cal Kestis is a Jedi with a rare ability. Namely psychometry. This means, through use of the Force, he can touch an object and get a brief glimpse of it's history. Without your permission, and without plotting, this isn't something he's just going to run around doing.

However, this ability isn't entirely controlled. If an objects history is particularly dark or violent, he'll be forced (hahaha) into experiencing it. Every emotion and action. Images. Sounds. Smells. He'll be stuck in it until the vision is over.

This is something I'd love to plot out and play with some day so if there's something your character has that Cal can sense the Force Echo of, let me know. Please fill out the handy dandy form below and lets get some bullshit started!

Canon Point: At the end of the game, after his fight with Vader
OU/AU/CRAU/OC: OU
Age: 22

World Information: He's from the Star Wars Universe (his game is official canon).

Personal History:

Cal's story begins with Order 66. A young Padawan, learning the ways of the Force on an imperial ship well above the planet Bracca, he was one of a very small handfuls of Padawans to survive the Jedi Purge. He only just managed to escape when his maser, Jaro Tapal sacrificed himself to get Cal aboard an escape pod. His life on Bracca consisted of hiding for years, keeping himself and his abilities hidden from the world in order to survive.

We meet with Cal, however, several years later while he's working with a Scrappers guild, dismantling derelict fighter ships and Imperial Dreadnaughts. While working on one of these ships with his friend and father-figure Prauf, one of the moorings breaks and both Prauf and Cal fall. Cal's foot gets tangled in wiring, Prauf almost falls to his death and he would have perished had Cal not risked everything and used the Force to save his friend.

Prauf tells Cal he needs to leave Bracca, find his destiny. Cal isn't sure what to make of this advice for a moment, and is undecided, wanting to stay on Bracca with Prauf and the Guild.

Unfortunately, his use of his abilities was seen by an imperial drone and soon after while taking the train home, the train is stopped. Boarded by a couple of purge troopers called Second Sister and Ninth Sister, Cal and the members of the Scrappers Guild are questioned. With their lives on the line, Second Sister threatening to murder them all if the Jedi isn't turned over, Prauf steps forward, wanting to protect Cal while doing his best to not out Cal as the Jedi the Purge Troopers seek.

Prauf is killed, Cal is outraged. A fight ensues between Cal, numbers of Stormtroopers and Second Sister. If it weren't for the timely interference of Mantis Pilot Greez Dritus and former Jedi Knight Cere Junda, Cal wouldn't have survived. Instead, the pair rescue the paranoid Jedi and together they head to Bogano where they hope to access an ancient vault.

Cal meets BD-1 at this time and, after befriending the droid, BD-1 plays a message from his former master and deceased Jedi Knight Eno Cordova. Following the clues left behind in the message, Cal explores the vault and learns not only of an ancient race of Force users known as the Zeffo, but that inside the vault is a Holocron containing the names and locations of Force Sensitive children everywhere. Cal and Cere believe that with this information, they can rebuild the Jedi Order and help defeat the empire.

They also learn that they have to follow the path Cordova took to hide the Holocron, and that means first heading to the planet Zeffo to learn more of the vault and then heading to meet Cordova's friend Tarfful on the Wookie Planet Kashyyyk.

On Kashyyyk, Cal is thrown into the middle of an intense battle between Imperial Troops and Saw Gerrera's Rebel Fighters. Cal teams up with the Rebels, even going so far as to hijack an AT-AT and fight the Imperials with their own war machines. Unable to find Tarfull, however, they head back to Zeffo to try to find more clues about the vault. There, he's ambushed bu Second Sister. During this fight, he learns that she was once Cere Junda's Padawan, Trilla Suduri a child that Cere Junda said had died during the purge.

He learns that Cere Junda, while facing certain death during intense torture by Imperial Troops gave up the location of Padawans like Trilla. Trilla was captured and tortured until she turned to the Dark Side, anger and hate fueled by her mentors betrayal. She warns Cal that Cere will betray him, too and Cal leaves, learning he needs to find a Zeffo Astrium to get the vault open.

While attempting to get back to the Stinger Mantis, Cal is captured by a Haxxion Brood bounty-hunter and forced to fight in a gladiatorial style arena. He is, once again, rescued by Cere and Greez and learns that Tarfful is willing to meet back on Kashyyyk. He returns to the Wookie planet and is told to go to the top of the Origin Tree to speak to Tarfful.
While climbing the tree, he is once again attacked by Ninth Sister and Ninth Sister is attacked by a massive bird.

Cal finds the giant bird later and discovers it's injured, treating the injury with one of BD-1's stims. In return, the great bird flies him to the top of the tree to speak to Tarfful. Tarfful tells him that an Astrium can be found on the planet Dathomir, a planet that's home to the Nightsisters.

Cal's progress is impeded by one such Nightsister, an angry woman named Merrin who blames him and all Jedi for the near extinction of her Sisters.

During a vision of his master protecting him and then attacking him, shattering the kyber crystal in his lightsaber. He meets former Jedi Master Taron Malicos, a Jedi who crash landed on Dathomir. Taron has been trying to learn the magic of the Nightsisters and offers to teach Cal how to handle that dark power but Cal refuses. Merrin attacks them again and Cal flees, heading with his crew to the planet Ilum so he can rebuild his lightsaber. He learns that Cere briefly tapped into the dark side after learning Trilla became an Inquisitor, but cut herself off from the Force refusing to let herself fall that far.

Cal returns to Dathomir and retrieves the Astrium, also overcoming his guilt at the death of his master. Malicos once again tries to tempt Cal to the dark side and they fight, this time aided by Merrin.

She joins the crew of the Mantis and the crew returns to Bogano where Cal uses the Astrium to retrieve the Holocron. Unfortunately, Trilla attacks again and steals it and heads back to Inquisitor Headquarters. Reconciling with Cere, he's knighted by the former Jedi Master and Cal and his crew follow Trilla to the station, an underwater compound on the planet Nur. He heads to the interrogation chamber and retrieves the Holocron, defeating Trilla. Cere tries to reunite with Trilla, but the former Padawan is killed by Darth Vader as punishment for her failure.

Cere and Cal barely escape with their own lives, flooding the base to escape and surviving due to the intervention of Merrin.

After recovering, Cal decides to destroy the Holocron, realizing that he'd just be putting a target on those children's backs if he brought them all together. Instead, he leaves it up to the Force to show the children their destinies.

It's at this time that one Cal Kestis, injured from his various fights, will come onto the train.

Personality:
Cal is a quiet, hard working individual. In the Scrappers guild, he was respected for his work ethic and loyalty, traits he's held onto after the events of Fallen Order. He's loyal to a fault, willing to put himself between his friends and danger, willing to put himself at risk if it means keeping others alive.

He's also a bit guarded, though not as badly as before. Having come to terms with his past, doesn't entirely mean he's going to shake off all of his hang-ups. He's still unsure of people, though once he learns he's safe on the train, he'll relax and befriend many, taking on a sort of big brother/mentor roll for many of the younger set on the train.

He's also stubborn, willing to persist and keep moving against near impossible odds, if it means getting to the end of a goal he's set out for himself.

Even as a Jedi Knight, with everything that particular role means, Cal still has a sense of adventure. He asked his crew where they were flying to next, showing he still wants to explore the universe. He's found his destiny, that of a Jedi Knight, one of the great protectors of his universe, and he's gladly embracing it.

He'll gladly continue this role on the train, if it's allowed by others.

He's also a lot more social than he used to be, though still kind of quiet and more prone to observing the situation, deciding when and how to throw himself in if needed. He'll easily make friends, though getting too close to people right away will be harder. He's only just discovering that he can trust people with who he is, and the people on the train will all be relative strangers, but eventually Cal will start to make friends and look out for people.

It's too deep in him to ignore, even as far back as protecting his Master during the purge.

CRAU developments:
None.
Key themes:

Resilience. Determination. Loyalty.

Main Motivation:

Cal's main motivation is self-discovery. He's come far since his days as a Jedi on the run, having learned a lot aboutt himself. He's healed his connection to the Force, he's become a Knight. He's saved the lives of thousands upon thousands of children all while figuring out who he is and what he can do to heal from his past.

His other motivation is loyalty. Loyalty to himself, to others, to the Force. Trusting in others wasn't easy for him at first, and it was shaken some with Cere's revelation, but he becomes aware that if he doesn't put his trust in them, they won't succeed.

It's his loyalty that fuels his motivation, that keeps him on a path that'll be good for those around him, and himself. It's what drives him to protect the people around him, and to treat them with respect.

Skills:

As a Jedi Knight, Cal is quite adept at using the Force. He can use it to temporarily freeze objects in place (force stasis/force slow). He uses it to wall-run, double jump, force push/pull (Wherein he uses the force almost like telekinesis to pull objects towards himself or push them away. this ability can also be used to deflect missiles and incoming projectiles and force pull can be used to either pull an object or person to himself, or pull himself towards something.)

He can also use the force to throw his lightsaber at an enemy and pull it back, or make his lightsaber spin in an dangerous circle around himself.

He speaks Basic and Binary, able to speak to BD-1 and have full conversations with the small BD unit. He has a very shaky grasp of the Wookie language, only able to piece together bits and pieces of conversations, but not enough to glean anything useful from it.

He's a skilled mechanic, able to repair BD-1 and upgrade the droid on his travels and even repair and rebuild his lightsaber.

He's adept at the fighting style known as Jar'Kai, a lightsaber technique with dual wielding in mind.

Cal’s final ability, one that seems to be rare among the Force Sensitive, is psychometric. He can touch an object connected to strong emotions and not only feel that emotion, but see and hear the moment too. This is a controlled ability, for the most part, one that won’t activate on its own unless the object he’s touching is involved with intense and high emotion situations, such as Trillas lightsaber. That object was touched by so many horrific actions that Cal couldn’t block seeing what it had been involved in, nor could he shake himself out of it easily. For smaller, less intensely in loved objects, he needs to reach out with the Force to use it and it’s only moments, lasting for a minute at best.
Item:

BD-1. Something to note about BD-1: he can generate Stims, a quick-healing device good for quick recovery from injuries. If the mods think this might be too much, I can limit it to 3 total (giving people in Tony's lab time to research and possibly recreate what's inside the cartridge?) and once Cal is out, that's it.

Sample: Test drive? Test drive.

Notes:

Cal will be coming in injured. Vader stabbed him in the ribs with his own lightsaber and he almost drowned escaping Vader and while these won't be fatal or dangerous injuries, he's going to need medical attention. Instead of getting that back on the Stinger Mantis, he went to check on his friends first...idiot.
